By using PBC Languages, you agree to these Terms of Service.

2. Description of the Service

PBC Languages is an online platform that provides:

• Language classes (group and private)
• A credit-based booking system
• Access to a language learning community

We aim to provide a high-quality learning experience, but we do not guarantee specific results.

3. Accounts

• Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account.
• Accounts may not be shared, except in specific cases (e.g. couples) with reasonable use.
• PBC reserves the right to suspend accounts in case of misuse.

4. Payments and Subscriptions

PBC Languages offers:

• Monthly, quarterly, and annual subscriptions
• One-time credit purchases

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled:

• Monthly plans renew every month
• Community Plan renews every 3 months
• Annual Plan renews yearly

Payments are securely processed via Stripe.

Pausing a subscription

Instead of cancelling, you may pause your subscription from your profile:

• One pause per subscription every 12 months, counted from the day the pause starts
• Up to 3 consecutive months per pause (1, 2 or 3 months)
• The pause starts when the period you already paid for ends, so no paid days are lost
• You are not charged while paused, no new credits are added, and the credits you already have do not expire
• Billing restarts automatically on the date shown in your profile; you may come back earlier at any time

If you need a longer break, or another pause before the 12 months are up, contact us at info@pbclanguages.com and we will review your case.

5. Refund Policy

Refunds may be granted only in specific cases, such as:

• A subscription renewal was unintended
• The user has not used any credits during the renewed period

All refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

6. Right of Withdrawal

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 calendar days of the date of purchase, without giving any reason, and receive a full refund.

Exception for services already provided: when you purchase a plan or class, you expressly request that the service begins immediately. In accordance with Article 103(a) and (m) of the Spanish Consumer Protection Act (TRLGDCU) and Directive 2011/83/EU, once you start using the service within the 14-day period (for example, by attending a class or using credits), you acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal for the portion of the service already provided. Any refund will be reduced proportionally to the services already consumed.

To exercise this right, email us at info@pbclanguages.com within the 14-day period with a clear statement, for example:

"I hereby withdraw from my purchase of [plan or class] made on [date]. Name: [your name]. Account email: [your email]."

We will confirm receipt and process the refund within 14 days using the same payment method you used.

7. Credit System

• Group classes cost 1 credit
• Private classes cost 2 credits

Credits:

• Do not expire while the subscription is active
• Accumulate over time
• Are lost when the subscription ends

8. Booking and Cancellations

• Classes can be cancelled free of charge up to 24 hours in advance.
• Late cancellations may result in loss of credits.

If a student does not attend a class:

• The corresponding credit is lost.

If a teacher cancels:

• The credit is returned to the student.

9. Teachers

Teachers on PBC Languages:

• Are independent professionals (freelancers)
• Are not employees of PBC Languages

PBC acts solely as an intermediary platform. We reserve the right to assign or change teachers when necessary.

10. Community Guidelines

PBC Languages includes a community environment. The following are not allowed:

• Self-promotion
• Sharing personal contact details for commercial purposes
• Disruptive or disrespectful behaviour
• Abusive, offensive, hateful or harassing behaviour or content

We have zero tolerance for abusive users and for objectionable content. We reserve the right to remove users from the platform or community if these rules are violated.

You can report an exchange or a member, and block anyone, from the exchange itself. When you block someone, their exchanges stop being shown to you and yours stop being shown to them. Reports go straight to our team and we review them and act within 24 hours, removing content and removing people from the platform where needed. You can also write to us at info@pbclanguages.com.

11. Content and Recordings

Classes are not recorded by default.

Any recording:

• Requires explicit consent from participants
• May be used for educational or promotional purposes (e.g. social media)

12. Acceptable Use

Users agree not to:

• Resell or redistribute services
• Use the platform for unauthorized commercial purposes

13. Limitation of Liability

PBC Languages provides educational services but does not guarantee:

• Language proficiency results
• Availability of specific classes or teachers

14. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts:

• In case of misuse or abuse
• Without refund in serious cases

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain.
